California/Netherlands Done

Swap Details:
Swapper1: Phyllis California, USA
Swapper2: Mimmelli Netherlands, Europe

Netherlands to the California
I just got my second package today from Myriam (Mimmelli) in the Netherlands. It took forever to arrive, but it was worth waiting for. Among the wonderful goodies was a bunny and a ghost that Myriam made herself, and yarn that was spun near her home. My kids are already
enjoying the Dutch book and stickers. Thanks to Myriam for a wonderful swap, and big thanks to GYS for making all this fun possible!
Phyllis

California to Netherlands
A few weeks ago my package from Phyllis arrived. It was filled with the most amazing things: yarn, crochet magazines, candy (which didn't last, obviously :o)), a very cool pincushion, a lovely children's book and plenty more stuff for the kids.
They just came running and took everything they thought was for them, I was hardly able to take a propper picture, hahaha.
My son just loves his 'thomas engine', he takes it with him to sleep almost every night and my daughter still runs around the house singing bippidiboppidiboo, bewitching everything and everyone.
Thank you Phyllis for the swap and putting these smiles on my kids' faces.
Myriam (Mimmelli)

Washington/Netherlands Done

Swap Details:
Swapper1: Erika Netherlands, Europe
Swapper2: Sasha Washington, USA

USA to the Netherlands
I received my package from Sasha from Seattle last week and what a lovely package it was, it's so great to have a swap partner who totally understands your taste, everything in the package was great, lovely fabrics, a great Japanese patternbook, can't wait to use it. The girls got a cute hairpin made by Sasha herself, small calendars and a lovely hankie. Thanks a lot Sasha for this great swap it was a joy to receive such a lovely package.
Erika

Netherlands to the USA
We received the most generous swap package yesterday from Erika of Miko Design, I am truly overwhelmed! There were the sweet wrap dresses that she sewed for both of my girls (!) just lovely, I wish I had a better picture of them but the girls were too excited to stand still and they put them right on over the clothes they were wearing. I barely got this shot as they wanted to go play with all of the fun new things.
She also sent bags to match the dresses, a lovely banner, ladybug clips, stickers, notpads, kitty cat washcloths, miniature Dutch shoes (these were a big hit!), a Dutch kids figurine, rubber stamps, fabric, ribbon, magnets, a couple of great magazines for me... So much I don't think I could list it all. Really truly amazing, my girls were beyond thrilled, it was like Christmas. And the most beautiful wrapping, it was so lovely, I wish I had taken pictures before we tore everything open.

Singapore/London Complete

Swap Details:
Swapper1: Salvagesistas Singapore, Asia
Swapper2: Katie Kaboom London, UK

Singapore to London
A great swap, small but a joy to receive, made all more the enjoyable by the little notes describing everything. Who knew such a small swap could be so fun. Ade is a person worth swapping with if you like nice surprises.
In terms of what I sent, for her love of vintage, I tried to do something quite fitting, I try to personalise the swaps I do to the persons likes.
Katie Kaboom

London to Singapore
When we thought it's lost, it came right at our doorstep that morning! I was so excited!
The packaging is really beautiful. Katie wrapped each gift in gold wrapper and placed them nicely in a box which she wrapped with a London-style paper. This is the most beautiful swap!

From Sweden to Kansas
This was my first swap and I couldn't have asked for a better partner than Agnetha from Sweden. Do we win the record for the youngest swap partners recorded to date? The main focus of this swap were items for our little bundles of joy. Nate, my 3 month old, received an adorable onesie, some cars, and some pacifiers. The package also included goodies for mom (that'd be me), such as a delicious chocolate bar, gummy candies, fruit chews, Swedish meatball seasoning, soup and lots of other goodies. Thanks for getting me hooked!

Portugal/California Swap Complete

Swap Details:
Swapper1: Teresa Portugal, Europe
Swapper2: Babs California, USA

California to Portugal
Babs sent me a package which was just right and timely. She sent me some fabulous fabrics, one of which came just handy for a project I had to finish. I love the tshirt she sent me, weather cooperated nicely and got to wear it already. When she suggested sending me a Japanese jewelry book, of course I agreed because one can never have too many japanese craft books (don't dare to contradict me there or you will send me into an existential quandary), but when it got here it was about macramé of which I know nothing and meant to learn! To top it off, some lovely sour candies and some very bold lovely tictacs.
Loved it, thanks!
Teresa

Portugal to California
Another package filled with fun arrived at my door last week! This package is from Teresa in Portugal. I've said it before, and I say it again: I just love Portugal!
Teresa sent me all sorts of beautiful things. Tea towels, sweets, a children's book, a magnet, a mix CD of traditional Portuguese music, tea, trim, yarn, postcards, soap and an assortment of items with the Galo de Barcelos on them. My favorites? Teresa sent me a handmade bag & a pair of handmade earrings!! I've already put the bag and earrings to good use. I can't wait to listen to the CD and try the candy. I have big plans for the yarn.
Also in the package was another little treat: a vintage saco-guardanapo. There is a better photo of it to the left (it got covered by the CD in the photo above). The embroidery is exquisite!
MUITO OBRIGADA, Teresa! This is such a fantastic package. Thank you also for all your wonderful emails during the swap! =)

Denmark/California Swap Complete!

Swap Details:
Swapper1: Babs California, USA
Swapper2: Malene Denmark, Europe

Denmark to California
Malene's package from Denmark arrive today! I have to admit, I've always had a small fasination with Denmark. Particularly after watching that silly Julia Stiles movie "The Prince & Me" a few years ago. That movie completely satisfied the little girl in me.
I mean, come on! Every little girl dreams of marrying a prince! Especially if the prince looks like Luke Mably!
So Malene send all sorts of nice things my way: postcards, a crafting magazine, a children's book, stickers, paper, little toys, and felted flowers. My favorite was the tin post mail box, where children can use it as a piggy bank (i.e. money bank). It even comes with little vintage style keys to lock up the box! Too cute!!
THANK YOU Malene, for sharing Denmark with me! I hope to travel there someday!
Babs

California to Denmark
I received this great package from Babs in California. Lots of cute fabrics, collage craft stuff, candy (yummy), stickers and a great Japanese craft book. My children loved the Jellybeans and the stickers - my favourite is Hello Kitty...
It didn't take a long time for the package to get from the USA to Denmark. I had much fun swapping and I will definitely do it again - I have about 6 swaps going on and can't wait to show you the packages when they arrive here.
Best regards,
Malene
